Born in Turin in 1950. Musical ghostwriter, sound designer, multi-instrumental musician, jazz pianist, with diploma in oboe and four years of double bass study, composer, arranger and conductor, he was nicknamed “diapason” by his fellow students at the conservatoire “Giuseppe Verdi” of Turin due to his absolute pitch. After his studies he worked as a teacher and musician and has been an orchestrator since 1980.
His activities include working as a sound researcher for symphonic, light, new age, jazz and film music and collaboration and supervision in the production of soundtracks, TV films, short films and documentaries.
In the ’70s he played the Hammond B3 organ and the Rhodes Piano with various groups.
In the ‘80s he took a break to dedicate time to more advanced musical studies during which he studied the violin through to the eighth year with exams at the conservatoire.
In 1990 he won the prize for the best Italian arranger-orchestrator.
From 1991 to 1996 he concentrated on jazz with the Electone Yamaha, Hammond B3 and various keyboards.
From 1980 to 2010 he produced one thousand two hundred arrangements-orchestrations-compositions for movies, TV films, documentaries and backing tracks (five hundred pieces) in addition to over one hundred improvisations written and played for various instruments and different musical genres.
Recently he has written music for modern classical ballet and jazz.
